Kathleen McCoy was educated in classical dressage at the University of Berlin in Germany where she lived for 2 years.
Riding and training professionally for over 20 years, she specializes in dressage but has worked with many disciplines, breeds and levels of riders because dressage can help any horse. Her greatest influence was Dr. Reiner Klimke who was known for his kind and gentle techniques.
Kathleen’s training philosophy is stongly based on the German system utilizing the training pyramid with a particular focus on good communication and harmony between horse and rider.
She is pursuing USDF Instructor Certification having successfully completed all Pre-Cert Workshops (longeing, riding, teaching) and passing the Pre-Certification Testing. Experienced competitor and coach for students interested in showing. Has judged schooling shows thru 3rd Level.
